Listen: Fold – We’re The Ones (Album)

There’s something spiritual about Fold’s We’re The Ones. The spoken word on “Stand Up”, the mantra of “All Waken Finally to Being Human”, speeches by the likes of Malcolm X & James Baldwin, the violins and sampled flute on “Living On a Knife’s Edge” – even the album’s liner note is uplifting: “this album is dedicated to those who care about others.”

Music band Fold from Leeds (UK) created a beautiful new album with the help of more than ten musicians. Fold are Kane Rattray (drums), Ben Walsh (bass), Sam Hutchison (guitar) and Seth Mowshowitz (programming, keyboards, guitar & bass), who collaborated with artists on trumpet, sax, flugelhorn, trombone, violins and Rhodes, as well as with a DJ and a handful of emcees and vocalists.

Just an ordinary guy always on the hunt for extraordinary music. Not just as the founder of The Find Magazine & Rucksack Records, but also as a freelance music journalist (bylines at Tracklib, Bandcamp, Wax Poetics, DIG Mag, among others) and—above all—out of love for all kinds of good music.
