Free Download: Shag – Flyrule: A Terrible Fate
The Legend of Zelda series is one of the most exalted video game franchises of all time. When the games came to Nintendo 64, they experienced a massive boost because the games were finally able to take place in a fully 3-dimensional world with an immensely deep and interactive plot as well as mesmerizing graphics. For many youth, Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask were a portal into another realm of adventure, an experience that changed gaming.
Beatmaker Shag is one person of many who experienced the influence of the Zelda series. One of his first beat tapes was Flyrule, an album dedicated to Ocarina of Time, which he completed very early in his musical career. A full ten releases and about one and a half years later, the young producer has returned with his second Zelda-themed album.
This time, he has taken Majora’s Mask and created a much darker and emotive beat tape sampling the music of the video game. If you ever played the N64 Zelda games, then this is a must download. Get immersed in the nostalgic beats and imagine it is you traveling through time, battling Skull Kid, and his attempted destruction of Termina.
