Surreal and The Sound Providers will release a brand new 45 (7″ record) this summer. The California based lyricist and producers had three singles lined up to release a few years back, but those never saw daylight.

“We’ll release it on a label called Diggers With Gratitude , says Surreal to The Find Magazine. “The stuff they’re releasing is so dope!  After our Japanese tour a few years back, we had three singles slotted to release that never did.  They’re going to put that on vinyl and it should be coming out in the Summer.”

Next to that, Surreal is working on some new music with Dert: “We recorded about 6 or 7 songs and it’s kind of eclectic soul, but it’s rooted.  We’re using a lot of live instruments and singers”, says Surreal. “So I’m totally going to release records, but it’ll be at a slower pace. I want to do it not only for people to listen to, but also for my son. It’ll kind of be a little time capsule for him. I’m just taking my time, I don’t have to hurry.”

UPDATE (04/20/2010): In an interview with Question, Soulo of The Sound Providers says the title of the project with Surreal is ‘The Sound Of Music’. He also discusses some of his personal upcoming projects. Read about it here.
