Stream: Luk&Fil – Brot Ist Essbares Holz
German record label Sichtexot continues their incredible vein of releases with Brot Ist Essbares Holz, a new full length by duo Loki and Knowsum AKA Luk&Fil. With their second full length LP, Luk&Fil continue their gritty style of hip hop while evolving a more psychedelic vibe on the production side.
As a non German speaker, I can’t really comment on the rhymes other than that the flows sound dope. The beats however transcend language barriers and the warped, shadowy jazz instrumentals are fuzzy like dust particles on a spinning record and as blunted as Snoop Lion in Jamaica; providing some of the most intriguing rap production in recent times. The album is available on 2LP through Sichtexot or HHV and there are 300 limited 7″s with a bonus track and exclusive remixes by Tufu and Figub Brazlevic.
