Germany’s Jakarta Records revealed this morning that they’ve been harbouring a collaborative album produced by producer Ta-ku and emcee Raashan Ahmad since Ahmad’s Australian tour in 2011. I’m not sure whether this is a sign of an amazing hard-drive or a terrible filing system but either way it works out well for us.
The first track is up on SoundCloud now for streaming, and channels a really nice bass-heavy, gospel driven vibe – less precise than Ahmad’s usual offerings, and less off centre than we’re used of Ta-ku. The full album “Low Fidelity, High Quality” will be put up for free download next week and details are due to be announced. Don’t sleep on this!
