Art: INTI at CityLeaks Festival in Germany

There’s no doubt that Brazil is the main focus of the Latin American street art scene nowadays, but in a very close second comes Chile, which also has a vibrant hip hop scene. Chile’s street art is strongly related to the political mural pieces that took place in the streets of Valparaiso during the late 60s, reminiscent of a colorful traditional culture and respect for the indigenous local community.

This video shows Chilean street artist INTI (sun in Quechua) at CityLeaks Festival in Cologne (Germany). Expect bright colors, textures and patterns as he talks about what influences his work and his thoughts about the urban art’s background, assisted by a smooth soundtrack by Dexter of Cologne-based label Melting Pot Music.
