Video: Delicious Vinyl Presents.. – Bizarre Ride Live Preview

A bonafide hip hop classic, the 1992 release Bizarre Ride II The Pharcyde is now celebrating its twentieth anniversary. The  L.A. record label that released it, Delicious Vinyl, have been paying homage to the seminal record this year through various reissues, shows, parties, and of course, the Bizarre Ride Live extravaganza.

Blurring the lines between a straight-up hip hop show and theatrical performance, original members Fatlip and SlimKid3 have teamed up with the albums producers J-Sw!ft and L.A. Jay to perform the album in its entirety, from start to finish with all the skits in between. Unfortunately without the other two core members, Imani and Bootie Brown, so it’s not really The Pharcyde as we know it…

After a sell-out debut at The Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles, the show is looking to tour the U.S. and Europe through the rest of 2012.
