Doktor Rheal provides emcee SmooVth with a mellow beat by flipping the jazzy keys off Mr. Rogers’ “It’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.” Hus Kingpin, the other half of New York based hip hop duo Tha Connection, also brings dopeness with the raw “Game Of Life,” taken from The Cognac Tape on Mello Music Group.

It’s been five years since our first feature on Tha Connection, as part of our frequent selection for LDBK Radio. It’s great to see how SmooVth and Hus are still doing their own thing, also as duo with albums like last year’s Strive on Digi Crates Records. The Cognac Tape by Hus Kingpin, co-starring Roc Marciano, is out now.
