Today, February 27th, marks the second anniversary of Nujabes‘ death. February has been a remarkable month of reflection and tribute to both Nujabes and his kindred spirit J Dilla but now the month draws to a close. The two legends will always remain at the forefront of the instrumental hip hop movement, predecessors who paved the way for many of today’s producers.

Multi instrumentalist Nicholas Cheung put together a wonderful Nujabes tribute of him recreating many of the classic beats Jun became world famous for. Check out the excellent music and keep the memory of Nujabes alive! Rest in peace.
