Lethal Eclection #2: Chrome Sparks – Marijuana

A frequent lethal injection of our eclectic favorites. Non hip hop features, but beat-driven with a strong affinity for style.

Jeremy Malvin is a musician based in Ann Arbor who dabbles in all kind of music. He plays drums for indie pop band Stepdad and makes beats under a variety of aliases with multiple styles including Chrome Sparks

His music under the Chrome Sparks moniker is a distinct style that sets him aside from other producers from the experimental beat movement. Chrome Sparks takes influences from far beyond just hip hop and electronic music. The beats are an aural omelette of homegrown sonic vegetables that are sure to get your spine tingling. His track “Marijuana” appeared on a recent compilation of Ann Arbor musicians called AAURAL II.
