The principal active ingredient inducing a ‘high’ is known as Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol, or simply THC, which binds with endogenous receptors to alter neuronal activity and send the  brain into a hazy state of enhanced sensory experience.

Although cannabis is widely consumed in many countries, it remains illegal for most of the world. In recent years, advocacy calling for reform of drug laws has increased exponentially, primarily focusing on decriminalizing or legalizing cannabis. There is a vast wealth of literature available that details the pharmacology and action of cannabis as well as the myriad of economic, political and medicinal potential benefits that could be attained through more liberal legislation. While bumping this podcast, take some time to bust up some high grade and feed your mind, or simply take a look around for some more information about the substance.
