Listen: Holy Fuck & Shad – The Legend of Cyborg

The Legend of Cyborg is a collaboration between Canadian band Holy Fuck and emcee Shad. The collaboration resulted in a 7″ with a limited release. The Legend of Cyborg features “sci-fi shit beats,” according to Holy Fuck member Graham Walsh. Shad creates a fictional story over these beats about the brother of tennis legend Björn Borg.

As Shad says, “He’s kind of a comic book Don Quixote-esque vigilante ex-tennis prodigy reclusive/rugged rapping mountain man/freedom fighter. Who eats dope food.”

Manan is from Illinois (born close to Chicago) and currently in Florida for school. His love for hip hop started with the up-and-coming Northwest scene, and has led to him become fully submerged in hip hop culture. Other interests include crate digging, ultimate (frisbee), and reading sci-fi/fantasy.
