“Above & Beyond” by Canadian producer Jellyfish Phrank is sample-heavy and emotionally evocative. With this album he has developed and experimented with styles ranging from hip hop to electronic music. Our favourites include the tracks Harles Chamilton, Above & Beyond, and xoax.
The chilled hip hop on “Above & Beyond” is exactly as the name implies. Jellyfish Phrank: “I went above and beyond what I thought my limitations were and what I was capable of. This project means a lot to me, and is the first cohesive project I feel comfortable in releasing. The project began as a simple experimentation as me exploring a new sound, but soon became an expansion not only into a genre but a mind-frame.”
