Playlist #9: No Stars, Just STRP (Vol. 2)
It’s been almost two years since the last edition of Dutch music, art & technology festival STRP, so we’re incredibly stoked for next week’s edition. For the ‘Music Night’ in particular: sets by the likes of Hudson Mohawke, DJ Shadow, Machinedrum, Mala In Cuba, Jameszoo, Modeselektor, Lunice and more.
This second installment of our “No Stars, Just STRP” playlist is a 30-minute teaser to get psyched for the festival or to get familiar with the lineup. The track selection is a bit basic due to unfortunate video limitations on DragOnTape and because of the fact we wanted to add videos only, so let’s be honest: it’s nothing like the killer playlist on 22Tracks.
This video mixtape includes live footage of Modeselektor and Digital Mystikz (Mala and Coki), Hudson Mohawke’s “FUSE” as a backdrop for Fully Flared skateboard footy, music videos by DJ Shadow, Apparat, Machinedrum, Lunice and Holy Other, and it kicks off with a promising teaser of “The Air Between Your Words”, an audiovisual project by producer Martyn on Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder imprint.
